What happens to my car once I drop it off at the garage?
Once your car is dropped off to us, you can talk to a technician about your concerns. Try to itemise all faults when booking your vehicle in. Once your car has been diagnosed, our technician will give your car a free Vehicle Health Check. With one telephone call we can tell you what is wrong with your car and also the condition of your vehicle. We will only fix what needs fixing. You can be assured that you vehicle is in the safest hands with Dowleys.
Do you offer a pick up and drop off service?
Yes, we offer a free customer vehicle collection and delivery service within a 5 mile radius, and local pick up and drop off service to the local park & ride. We can even pick up from your place of work and drop it back to you before home time.
Are your prices inclusive of VAT?
Yes. When a price is given for a quote, it is always inclusive of the parts, labour and VAT. We can even email a quote direct to you with a breakdown of the work to be carried out, each part to be used and a breakdown of the price. No problem. Request a quote using the ‘contact us’ page.
Will you ever do any work without consulting me first?
No work will be carried out on your vehicle without prior permission from you first.
Can you do an MOT while I wait?
Yes we can do MOTs while you wait. We have a reception for you to wait, with an MOT viewing area, free Wifi and tea & coffee. MOTs can be arranged simply by telephoning our receptionist. We will also provide a reminder when your next test is due.
How long does an MOT take?
Assuming you do not require any additional repairs or services the MOT should take between 45 minutes to one hour. You are welcome to wait will this happens, we have an MOT viewing gallery and free Wifi, Tea and Coffee for all customers.
What do you do with all my old parts?
At Dowleys we recycle everything from car batteries to oil, brake assemblies and exhausts, nothing goes to waste.
What warranties to you offer on parts & labour?
Parts and labour itemised on the invoice are guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date of the invoice, with the exclusion of damage arising from customer/third party interference, routine wear and tear and from poor or reckless driving style. Dowleys do not provide any form of Warranty or Guarantee on parts supplied by the customer as we cannot verify or confirm where the parts have come from. Any damage caused to the vehicle resulting in fitting these parts is the sole responsibility of the customer and not Dowleys.
